  1. Sure, here's a comment.

Well, it sounds as though you're having fun – despite the rain. Hopefully things will dry out for you soon.

I'm following along vicariously with you as you travel – I've always wanted to do the "year off" thing, so it's great to see and hear about your experiences. I sure do envy you all those different beers you've tried! Maybe you can write the book when you get back "Around the World In Beer". Or something.

Hopefully you'll maintain the enthusiasm for keeping up with the blog – I imagine it will get to be a bit of a chore, especially if you end up spending hours just hunting for an internet connection when you get further along. Can you blog offline as you go, and post a bunch of stuff all at once, as and when the net provides…?

    Happy travels!

  2. Michael and Ashley Seymour!! 🙂
I am definitely checking into the blog every chance I get to see how two of my favorite people are doing!! It looks like you are having the time of your lives- just as I hoped! Ash- I hope it gets easier to find vegetarian fare! ~Renee

  3. You are right, your parents are not the only ones reading your updates. I am checking in every couple of days to see what you two have been up to. It sounds like you are having a great time and a wonderful adventure. It is my little escape from Baton Rouge. It is raining right now and the kids are sleeping. Max starts first grade tomorrow so it is a BIG day. Keep the pics and updates coming. I love them! Cheryl

  4. Michael & Ashley – this is Jana's sister, Dorene. I am so glad you went to Cesky Krumlov – it is by far one of my favorite cities in the CR. Another lovely town is Telc – don't know if you plan to go there.

  5. Hey Ash & Michael —

I've been slow to check out your blog but I just got caught up. First, you both look great! When I stayed in hostels in Europe I remember not looking so hot and missing the A/C!

Your trip sounds awesome so far. Michael, I love all the details you're writing about each place. It's cool to get a glimpse of what you're doing and seeing. And Ash, I am cracking up at the mullet notes and gnome sitings! Keep all the interesting facts coming!

I can't wait to hear more about your adventures.

    Mindy
